WeDual Duo

Help

Learn how to install and use WeDual Duo, manage workspaces, create app and website clones, and handle licensing and data.

1. System requirements and installation

Requires macOS 13.5 or later; website clones require macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Download the DMG from this website, open it, and drag WeDual Duo into Applications. Workspaces, clones, and website sign-in data stay on your Mac. WeDual Duo does not automatically sync them to other devices.

2. Create a workspace

Create a workspace for Work, Personal, Study, or a project. Set its name and accent color, then use Launch Workspace to open its entries together. Launching clones in Duo still requires an active trial or Pro license.

3. Add and manage entries

From the workspace content area, add installed original apps, regular website shortcuts, or existing clones. Select multiple app clones, or select all, and add them together. Each entry can have its own note, and a clone can belong to multiple workspaces. Removing an entry or deleting a workspace does not delete clone profiles or sign-in data. Delete a clone from the Clone Library to remove its profile and linked entries in all workspaces.

4. Create website clones

Create a website clone in the Clone Library, enter its URL and name, and optionally choose a workspace. You can also select a popular website at the top of the form to fill in its details. Selecting a preset only fills the form; confirming creates the clone without opening the website. Each website clone keeps separate local browser data so you can sign in to different accounts. Edit its icon, badge, or custom image, and drag clones to reorder them in the library. Regular website shortcuts open in your selected or default browser and do not provide separate login sessions. Website clones need no local component. They require macOS 14 or later and an active trial or Pro license to launch.

5. Install or update the local component

When you first use app cloning or uninstall, follow the prompt to install the optional WeDual Duo local component and approve it in the macOS installer. If an update is required, follow the prompt to install the newer component over the existing one, then retry. Without the component, workspaces, original apps, and website features remain available.

6. Create and manage app clones

Choose a supported app, set a clone name, optional workspace, and badge, then review the preflight result and create the clone. Use the Clone Library to launch, rename, edit icons, update, or delete existing clones. Creating clones is free; launching, editing, and updating them requires an active trial or Pro license. Compatibility depends on the original app and its version. Check the preflight result and actual behavior.

7. Review and uninstall apps

Select a user-installed app, review the app and optional related data, select the items to remove, then confirm permanent deletion. Deletion cannot be undone, so check your selection and back up important data first. If the original app still has associated clones, delete those clones from the Clone Library before uninstalling it. Protected system apps cannot be uninstalled. This feature requires the local component and an active trial or Pro license.

8. Free features, trial, and licensing

Workspaces, original apps, regular website shortcuts, and clone creation are free. A one-time 7-day full-feature trial starts automatically on first launch. After it ends, launching, editing, and updating app clones, launching website clones, and app uninstall require Pro. License status changes do not automatically delete existing data. A Duo lifetime license purchased from this website activates up to three Macs. Use Recover License on this website with your original purchase email to recover an existing Duo license. Past Mac App Store purchases do not automatically activate Duo; contact support through the Feedback page for questions about those purchases.

9. Existing app clones and software updates

When moving from an older WeDual version to Duo, launch Duo and install or update the local component. After a successful component check, Duo automatically picks up valid existing native app clones, preserving their identity, paths, and data. No manual import is needed. Old workspaces, entry notes, and website login data are not imported into Duo. Create your workspaces and add existing app clones together; existing website data remains managed by the original edition. An adopted app clone is the original clone, not a backup, so deleting it affects the original. Check for Duo updates within the app.

10. Troubleshooting and feedback

Keep the exact error message and include your WeDual Duo version, macOS version, and last successful step. For app cloning or uninstall issues, also say whether the local component is installed or updated. For website issues, include the website name and steps that failed, without sign-in details. Contact support through the Feedback page or support@eedon.cn. Do not send passwords or license codes.
